Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10/16/2026 (draft for legal review)

Getting laid off is stressful enough. You shouldn't have to wonder what happens to your information. This policy explains, in plain English, what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

imreadyto.work is a product of The Profile Lab ("The Profile Lab"), based in Connecticut. When we say "we" or "us," that's who we mean.

The short version

  • We collect what you give us to build your page, and nothing more.
  • Your resume and private details stay private. Only the page you choose to publish is public.
  • We never sell your information. Ever.
  • You can delete your account and everything in it whenever you want.

What we collect

When you sign in with Google: your name, email address, and profile picture. We don't get your Google password, and we can't see your Gmail, contacts, or files.

What you add while building your page: your work history, education, goals, hobbies, photos, the jobs you're interested in, and anything else you type into the builder.

Resumes you upload: stored privately so our AI can read them and help draft your page. You can choose to have the original file deleted automatically once it's been read.

Private contact details: like a phone number, if you add one. These are kept separate from your public page and shown only where you choose.

Payment information: handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of what you bought (the Job Search Pass or a Keep Your Page subscription), when, and for how much.

Basic technical information: like the cookies that keep you signed in. We don't use advertising trackers.

How we use it

  • To build, host, and display your page.
  • To let our AI assistant suggest wording, tailor your page to job descriptions, and help you shape your story.
  • To run your account, your Job Search Pass, and your Keep Your Page subscription if you choose one, and to email you about your account (sign-in, billing, reminders before your pass ends, important changes), and to write to you personally when you've asked for help or we need to reach you about your account.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
  • To make the service better. We look at usage data, like which steps people finish and where they get stuck, and we use it only internally.

That's it. No advertising, no selling, no "partners."

About the AI

We use an AI service from Anthropic to read your resume and suggest content. Your information is sent to their service only to generate those suggestions for you. Under our agreement with them, they do not use your content to train their AI models.

The AI only works from what you tell it, and nothing goes on your page until you approve it.

What's public and what's private

Public: only the page you publish at imreadyto.work/yourname, and only the information you choose to put on it. Anyone with the link can see a published page, and it may show up in search engines. [CONFIRM: default search-engine indexing on or off]

Private: your uploaded resumes, your private contact details, the job descriptions you paste in, your drafts, and your account information. These are never shown publicly.

Who on our side can see it: a small number of authorized staff can view account and profile information when they need to, to help you with support or to keep the service safe. They can't see your uploaded resumes or the job descriptions you paste in.

You can unpublish your page at any time.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services we need to run imreadyto.work:

  • Supabase: database, file storage, and sign-in
  • Vercel: website hosting
  • Anthropic: AI writing suggestions
  • Google: sign-in
  • Stripe: payments
  • Resend: sending email

Each one handles your information only to provide its service to us. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.

If we find content that may exploit a child, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. When your Job Search Pass ends, or you cancel Keep Your Page, your page is unpublished but your profile stays saved in your account until you delete it. If you delete your account, we delete your page, profile, and uploaded files. If we email you personally (for example, to answer a question or confirm a refund), we keep a copy of that email with your account so we can follow up. It's deleted when you delete your account. Some records, like billing history, may need to be kept longer for tax and legal reasons. If you agree to Keep Your Page's monthly charge, we keep a record of that agreement (the date, your email address, the price, and the exact wording you agreed to) for at least three years, even if you delete your account, so we can show what you agreed to. Backups clear out on their normal schedule, within [30] days.

If someone uploads content we suspect is illegal, such as content that may exploit a child, we keep that content, the IP address it was uploaded from, and the account's details (like email address and sign-in history), even if the account is deleted. We do this because the law requires us to report it and keep it for investigators.

Your choices and rights

You can:

  • See and edit your information anytime in your account.
  • Download a copy of your information. [available in-app or by request]
  • Delete your account and everything in it from your account settings, or by emailing us.
  • Unpublish your page without deleting your account.

Depending on where you live, including Connecticut, you may have additional rights under privacy law, like the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Email us and we'll help.

Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit, strict database rules so each person can only reach their own private data, and private storage for resumes. No system is perfect, but we take this seriously. If something ever goes wrong, we'll tell you promptly.

Children

imreadyto.work is for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make important changes, we'll email you or post a notice on the site before they take effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
